Welcome to our 2026 Kingdom Giving Fund
As we end 2025, we are inviting you to give toward projects and initiatives in this next year.
These efforts are all focused on building out God’s kingdom in three different areas; Kingdom Impact, Kingdom Leaders, and Kingdom Spaces.
Kingdom Impact
We want to partner with those who are reaching out into our world to advance the gospel through local compassion and global mission.
Mid India Christian Mission
Mid India works holistically to care for those who are poor and oppressed, and has seen hundreds of thousands in India engage with the gospel.
Their Bible Institute near the Pakistan border sends missionaries to states all over India. They’re needing a parsonage for their leader that will greatly increases the amount of training they are able to provide.
New Visions Homeless Services
New Vision’s care for those who are homeless ranges from temporary shelter, food pantries, permanent housing solutions, and much more.
They have an initiative called Clean Start. Participants in their shelters will receive case management, life-skills training, help obtaining documents, and budgeting. They will also be getting paid to work in projects beautifying our area as they build a resume.
Interfaith Response
Interfaith provides emergency utility and rental assistance in Pottawattamie County to 1200+ families each year. Our gifts will go to directly assist families in our area avoid eviction and maintain housing going into the winter months.
Kingdom Leaders
We want to raise up people who will multiply the mission of God.
Residency and Internships
We want to provide healthy and strong leadership experience in ministry to the next generation. We plan to work with partners like Ozark Christian College to take on short-term interns or long-term residents in their training toward vocational ministry.
Scholarships
Each year, First Christian sends students and adults on life-changing trips where they experience the kingdom of God in meaningful ways. Whether through a student ministry camp or an adult global mission trip, we want to offer scholarships to ensure these experiences are accessible to all. These scholarships help defray costs, enabling more people to participate in these opportunities for spiritual growth.
Strengthening Churches
We deeply desire for churches in southwest Iowa to be healthy and thrive in the communities they are in. We are partnering with Calvary Christian Church and their Local Church Initiative to bring resources, relationships, and strategies to communities of faith in our area. If we want our region to be impacted by the good news of Jesus, it requires many healthy churches who can live out the kingdom around them.
Kingdom Spaces
We want to invest in the spaces where we are at, rooting deep to create places for restoration and renewal.
Counseling Spaces
Alongside our Group Wing Renovation on the east side of our building, we are adding counseling rooms that we will make available to local Christian counselors. The mental health need in our communities is incredibly high, especially in rural areas where little care is accessible. These partnerships will allow for trusted leaders to work in safe and quality spaces to bring more restoration and care to our area.
Facility Master Plan
In 2022 we met initially with our designer for our recently completed renovation and we worked together on a list of needs for our space. While most of those needs were able to be addressed, we limited our scope to things that we could pay for without taking on debt. There are a few remaining pieces that we would like to explore addressing.
So What's Next?
We’ve set a bold goal of $200,000 in year-end gifts.
Our Request?
Pray
Take this idea of a practice of generosity into your time with God. Pray through it. Ask him to challenge you. And take what you feel he’s asking of you and be boldly obedient to it.
Be Wise
You should not go into debt or give beyond your means. This opportunity is also an over-and-beyond invitation, not meant to replace your rhythm of giving regularly.
Whether you can contribute financially or simply pray alongside each of these efforts, we’re beyond grateful for your role in it.
Give
We will be opening up giving beginning on December 7 and continuing into early January. More details coming soon!
